Harrogate Rugby Club: A Legacy of Tradition and Excellence
Harrogate RUFC was founded in 1871 and is located on Rudding Lane in Harrogate. The club moved there in 2015 after playing at Claro Road for the previous 119 years. It boasts over 400 junior members, from under-6s upwards, two senior men’s teams, a ladies’ team, and a growing Touch section — providing a significant outlet for the local community. These teams are inclusive, and players of all abilities are encouraged and coached to play rugby in a safe and welcoming environment. The men’s senior team currently competes in National League North 2, the fourth tier of English rugby.
